The extreme whites and grays at the edges, followed by the warmer skin tones lead the audience's eyes toward the darker main subject of the picture.
Matching the dream catcher's coloring as a darker shade than the model's hair pin points exactly where you want our eyes to go, while the use of the neutral light blue background solidifies the entire work together.
Even the choice of keeping the model's eyes closed (as if asleep) keeps them from distracting from the dream catcher.
